Gastech 2011 – Amsterdam

 

Five UK companies joined SBGI at Gastech 2011 in Amsterdam.

 

BDR Thermea, Crane Business & Utility Services, Gas Measurement Instruments Ltd, Syddal Engineering Ltd, Technolog Ltd  all exhibited at the show which took place at the RAI from 21st - 24th March.

World Gas  – Buenos Aires

The 24th World Gas Conference and Exhibition took place at La Rural Exhibition and Conference Centre in Buenos Aires, Argentina  5-9October. World Gas takes place every three years and is the preeminent opportunity for the world’s gas industry to get together.

Oil and Gas Pipeline Technologies International Business Exchange

The Utility Networks team participated in UKTI's International Business Exchange Programme focusing on UK Capability in Pipeline Technologies. Thirty international delegates representing twenty-four different organisations from nine global markets, including China, Brazil and Russia attended the week-long event, which provided the opportunity to hear from UK companies through site visits, presentations and a series of one to one “meet the buyer” type meetings.

Japan Gas Association Fact Finding Mission

The Utility Networks team welcomed six visitors from the Japan Gas Association (JGA), CIP Technology Partners and Hitachi to the UK to assist them with their fact finding programme on UK gas distribution. SBGI and its members shared gas industry knowledge  and the event concluded with an overview of the National Grid operation by  Ed Syson, Distribution National Control Centre Manager, and a tour of  the distribution control centre at Hinckley.
