Scope & Purpose


Primary Scope & Purpose

As the principal representative body for organisations that install and/or service heating and hot water products and systems in the UK, to provide a forum for discussion and a means for initiating and undertaking collective action to develop the installation and servicing markets.


Objectives

a) To keep members informed on all matters relevant to the installation and servicing of heating and hot water products and systems
b) To represent and promote members’ interests where appropriate in respect of technical, legal, regulatory, marketing, safety, quality and skills issues, and in respect of governmental and EU matters relating to installation and servicing.
c) To provide members with opportunities for networking with each other and for discussing relevant issues.
d) To provide members with opportunities for networking with and influencing key decision makers in Government, the EU and other relevant organisations.
e) To encourage and facilitate new technical and commercial developments relevant to installation and servicing
f) To raise quality and competence and to enhance the  reputation of the instalation and servicing sector


Main activities

(a) To meet on a regular basis in order to:
• Enable members to discuss how to pursue the above objectives and any other issues of mutual interest.
• Receive presentations from and engage in debate with representatives of Government and other relevant organisations/companies.
(b) To convene specialist sub-groups as appropriate.
(c) To establish and maintain a network of relevant contacts in Industry, Government and other relevant organisations and companies.
